Caisson Biotech, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Heparinex, L.L.C., an Oklahoma City-based biotech company which produces a recombinant form of heparosan, a naturally-occurring sugar molecule in the body. Heparinex also has patented a variety of uses for heparosan including its use as a drug delivery vehicle. It licensed the rights to the drug delivery application to Caisson Biotech in February 2009 which was created for this purpose.
